ALIYAH’S STORY.
‘I haven’t done anything like this. I dance or code. I always do them separately. It’s totally great.’
Aliyah was a confident dancer but coding wasn’t something she did a lot of. And, bringing the two together was a totally new experience.
It might have been confusing at first but as Aliyah says 'by midweek I really started to understand how to incorporate the coding with the dance and it was so brilliant.'

You know what? Sometimes stepping into the unknown can be pretty nerve-wracking. Rhidi, just like you, had their doubts about dancing and coding. But guess what happened? They got pleasantly surprised by the amazing support they found in both learning the dance moves and crafting their own digital designs!

CLEMENCE DEBAIG (SHE/HER) - DANCER AND CREATIVE TECHNOLOGIST.
Dancer and Creative Technologist Clemence Debaig is a dance artist, creative technologist and educator based in London.
She is also the artistic director of Unwired Dance Theatre. She often works with telepresence, networked wearables, motion capture and VR. With a background as a dancer and creative technologist - and a previous career as a UX designer - she brings a unique perspective to choreographing interactive and participatory experiences. She is also a lecturer and researcher at Goldsmiths University - mainly focusing on motion capture, digital embodiment, remote choreographic collaboration and audience interactions in hybrid setup.

Stephy Fung is a digital fashion artist based in UK. Her work frames vibrant colours and balanced composition, paying homage to her Chinese heritage and to also educate her audiences on the culture. Her designs have been a way to explore and express her British Chinese identity and she hopes to fuse modern techniques/cuts with traditional Chinese elements.
She is an artist, educator and content creator.
Her skill set ranges from Adobe Suite, Cinema4D, Clo3d, Substance Painter and Daz3D.
Clients include: Dell, Snapchat, Glenfiddich & Highsnobiety, Jo Malone, Paco Rabanne, Xbox, Vogue Singapore, and Selfridges.

Valencia James is an interdisciplinary artist from Barbados interested in the intersection between dance, theater, technology, art installation and activism. Valencia’s work explores remote interdisciplinary collaboration with creative technologists and how emerging technologies like machine learning and computer vision might enhance creativity in her contemporary dance practice and vice-versa. This research has resulted in collaboratively built, novel open-source software tools that push the boundaries of live performance

Ghislaine is an award-winning speaker, curator and director, specialising in the future human, body responsive technologies and immersive experiences since the early 90s. She is Co-founder and Creative Director of body>data>space. With a background in dance and performing arts and a long-term focus on the blending of our virtual and physical bodies, she engages in highly topical and future digital issues for our living bodies, including personal data usage, and sees a future in which we connect ourselves into a networked “multi-self,” an “Internet of Bodies” enabled by hyper-enhancement of the senses and tele-intuition.

HOLLY HERNDON - ARTIST AND COMPOSER.
Holly Herndon (born 1980) is an American artist and composer based in Berlin, Germany. After studying composition at Stanford University and completing her Ph.D. at Stanford University's Center for Computer Research in Music and Acoustics, she pursued a music career internationally. Herndon's music often includes human singing voices (including her own), is primarily computer-based, and regularly uses the visual programming language Max/MSP to create custom instruments and vocal processes. She has released music on the labels RVNG Intl. and 4AD. Her third full-length album, Proto, was released on May 10, 2019.

Akeelah Bertram (b.1990 London) is a British Jamaican visual artist. She has exhibited nationally and internationally since studying at the University of Leeds, Hochschule für Bildende Künste, (Dresden) and the Royal College of Art (London).
Akeelah is interested in collective narratives, challenging perspectives and innovating modes of communication. She produces work across Light, Sound, New Media Art, Interaction Design, Sculpture and Performance; exploring heritage and emotional connection through creative technology.

Sky Goodman is a multimedia artist living in Chicago. Goodman works with obsolete and emergent technology to create portraits, scapes, and fantasy worlds. The artworks of Sky Goodman are heavily influenced by science fiction literature, queerness, fashion, and nature.
“In 2014 things took a turn when my computer glitched out! I discovered the Glitch Artists Collective and began integrating technology into my way of creating. My work often merges obsolete technology with emergent tech (think old school video mixers, analog glitch mixing in VR scapes and animations). I’m not defined by one interest or aesthetic, I go where my curiosity takes me.”
